Which Shooting Waistcoat Is The Most Lightweight?
Our Axford lightweight shooting waistcoat for men is part of our lightweight technical range that we introduced in 2020. It is made with a durable cotton twill with faux suede shoulder patches.
This shooting waistcoat makes an ideal choice for a warmer day as it is lightweight but can also be a great layer if it is cold. Being fully waterproof and machine washable, this lightweight shooting waistcoat is a functional garment. The Axford shooting waistcoat comes in two colors 'basil & new season color 'glen'.
Combrook Vs Rutland Shooting Vests
Our Combrook shooting vests are an Alan Paine staple and part of our best-selling range. All are expertly crafted with 100% wool tweed. With soft suede shoulder patches, a water repellent outer and in 4 classic colorways these are a stylish & functional must have.
Our Rutland shooting vests are ideal for a beater or gamekeeper and do not come with shoulder patches. These are made with a more durable tweed and comes with cartridge pockets, handwarmer pockets and internal pockets. Storage will never be an issue here.
What To Wear With A Men's Shooting Waistcoat
A shooting gilet is part of traditional style for an organised shoot. A shooting waistcoat should be paired with matchingmen's shooting breekswith acountry style shirt, tie, and a pair of reliable boots & socks which can be worn on a warmer day game shooting, or whilst clay pigeon shooting. To complete the outfit, a shooting cap makes an excellent choice.
The majority of game shooting will take part during the winter months where it will be essential to layer a men's shooting waistcoat under a durable men's shooting jacket. For those extra cold days, we recommend layering a men's shooting sweaterunderneath the waistcoat too. To finish off the look, at a matching shooting cap that will protect your eyes from the rain.
